I will be doing my very best to collect as many traditional South African recipes and/or sites at least that link to them.
I know my Mom had a very old copy of the Royal Cookbook and used many of the recipes to surprise us for Sunday lunch. Have you ever seen a copy of this? I believe it is still in publication. I also believe that a copy of it should be in each household.
As a child I enjoyed making fudge, toffee, coconut ice and marshmallows from the recipe book in an old Defy stove. I even tried the macaroni and cheese recipe. Yummy! I know we not suppose to eat too much of that.
